Chorsu Bazaar
The main oriental bazaar under the famous dome
Sakichmon Street 1, Tashkent
About
Chorsu is one of Tashkent’s oldest and largest markets, located in the historic part of the city. Its main building is easy to recognize by the large blue dome. Inside and around it, vendors sell seasonal fruit and vegetables, aromatic spices, dried fruits, nuts, fresh bread and meat. This is a working eastern bazaar where daily city life is especially visible.
Beyond food, you can find traditional ceramics, textiles, embroidered caps and simple souvenirs. Around the main dome, traders also sell kitchenware, clothing and household goods. The market is easy to reach by metro to Chorsu station. Mornings are best, when trade is active and the heat is less intense.
